Save The Date: SWOVUG Q4 2016

Given how big of a success the last SWOVUG (Southwest Ontario Veeam User Group) meeting was, planning the next one started shortly after. Now that we’ve come far enough along, I am excited to announce the details for the next gathering. The upcoming SWOVUG meeting will be held Wednesday, November 23rd 2016. We’ll be sticking to the Mississauga area given the great turn out from the last meeting. This time around we’ll be at:

I am very pleased to announce that we’ll have two sponsors (in addition to Veeam) for this event: Mid-Range and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Mid-Range is a Veeam partner that offers a variety of services, including DRaaS and cloud backups. They bring with them a wealth of experience and expertise. Mid-Range were very generous in coming forward and helping sponsor this event.

HPE has also stepped in with sponsorship. HPE and Veeam have had a long relationship together, and we’ll definitely be exploring some of the benefits that HPE can bring to the table when working with Veeam.

Mike Preston, who is a fellow Veeam Vanguard, will be joining us for a presentation as well. Mike and his colleagues leverage their HP 3PAR storage along with Veeam in order to maximize their data availability. We’ll be able to get a glimpse into how they do this – I’m sure there will be takeaways for everyone.

We have a draft agenda below, but as with the previous meetings, we want to make sure it is user-driven. If we find that we get onto a topic that a lot of you have questions about, we’ll be sure to get as much information out to you as we can. Also, with all of the recent announcements from Veeam, be sure to bring your questions. We’ll have some folks from Veeam on-hand to help out with answers.
